Updated 4:10 p.m. Good morning, arts goers! Here's what's closed (and bravely open!) in the arts today.


Angelika Film Center: Open, with screenings of Casablanca and Coriolanus continuing as scheduled.

DC9: Tonight's Supreme Commander performance is still on.

Avalon Theatre: Both theaters and the Avalon Cafe are open.

National Museum of Crime and Punishment: Open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Politics & Prose: Classes and Iris Krasnow's author event are canceled, but the store is open.


Union Arts DC: Tonight's performance by David Ornette Cherry has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m.

Shakespeare Theatre Company: Tonight's performance of The Importance of Being Earnest has been canceled. Ticket holders will be contacted to reschedule.

MetroStage: Ella Fitzgerald: First Lady of Song has been canceled tonight.

Keegan Theatre: Tonight's performance of The Best Man has been canceled.

Arena Stage: Tonight's performances of The Tallest Tree in the Forest and Mother Courage and Her Children have been canceled.

Studio Theatre: Tonight's performance of Tribes has been canceled.

Round House Theatre: Tonight's performance of Seminar has been canceled. Contact the box office to reschedule.

Kennedy Center: All performances have been canceled. Ticket holders will be contacted regarding rescheduling.

Athenaeum: Closed today. Tonight's performance by Bill Thomas will be rescheduled.

Black Cat: Tonight's Travis Jackson memorial concert has been canceled but the Red Room will be open.

U Street Music Hall: Tonight's Haerts and Panama Wedding show is canceled and will be rescheduled.

AFI Silver: Closed Thursday

Rock & Roll Hotel: Tonight's Yuck concert has been canceled. Refunds available at point of purchase.

The Barns at Wolf Trap: Tonight's Buckwheat Zydeco performance is canceled. Refunds will be processed automatically.

Folger Shakespeare Library: The library is closed and tonight's performance of Richard III is canceled. Contact the box office to reschedule tickets.

D.C. Public Library: All libraries are closed today. The Janet Mock event at MLK Library will be rescheduled.

Phase 1: Closed tonight.

Artisphere: Tonight's performance by Ruthie Foster and Eric Bibb is postponed. Ticketholders will be contacted.

Atlas Performing Arts Center: Closed Thursday. Tonight's performance of Glassheart is canceled.

Ford's Theatre: The noon and 7:30 p.m. performances of Violet on Thursday are canceled. Refunds or exchanges are available at the place of purchase. Ford's Theatre National Historic Site is also closed Thursday.

Signature Theatre: Tonight's cabaret performance, Our Funny Valentine,  is canceled. Friday's performance will occur as scheduled.

Sixth & I Historic Synagogue: The Slate Double X Gabfest taping scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13 will now take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.

Strathmore: All events in the Mansion and the Music Center are canceled Thursday. Ticketholders will be contacted.

Theater J: The Washington D.C. JCC is closed and all performances are canceled.

International Spy Museum: Closed Thursday

National Building Museum: Closed Thursday

National Gallery of Art: Closed Thursday

National Geographic Museum: Closed Thursday

National Museum of Women in the Arts: Closed Thursday

Newseum: Closed Thursday

Phillips Collection: Closed Thursday. The CityDance performance scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled.

Smithsonian: Closed Thursday.

    Angelika Film Center at the Mosaic District is open! We're proceeding with our screenings of Coriolanus and Casablanca as planned at 7pm. If you've purchased tickets for a film today and can't make it, we'll happily exchange them at our on-site box office for passes to a future screening.
