ToDo ToDay: The “Sandwich-to-Go” Comedy Tour, Funny Moms, and Islands
Like any good sandwich, a good comedy bill is well balanced. It can’t be too dry, nor can it contain too much cheese. Let’s hope the "Sandwich-to-Go" tour, featuring comics Eugene Mirman, John Hodgman, and Kristen Schaal (shown), is as delectable as they seem to think it is. You know all three from their various off-kilter TV roles (Mirman on Bob’s Burgers, Schaal on Bob’s Burgers and 30 Rock, and Hodgman on The Daily Show), so the audience can expect a whole lot of weirdness. Cocktails are no longer the only thing you can get at 2 Birds 1 Stone. The basement bar recently launched a new Southeast Asian bar food menu, which currently overlaps significantly with sister restaurant Doi Moi. Among chef Haidar Karoum's finger foods: spicy fried cashews, crispy shrimp and pork rolls, garlic chive mushroom dumplings, Thai wok-tossed marinated beef, and fried lemongrass coconut chicken wings.
