ToDo ToDay: Company at Signature Theatre and a Daft Punk Listening Party
For its current production of Company, Sondheim's musical tribute to thirtysomething urban dwellers, Signature Theatre has dug deep into its own company: All of the actors have performed in at least two previous productions with the Arlington theater. A dark musical comedy about the woes of adult relationships might hit too close to home, but when your romantic foibles are set to song and dance, they seem a little less troublesome. It’s just like last Saturday night—once more, with feeling. Read more >>> The production runs May 21 to June 30 at Signature Theatre, 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington. $25-$80. International pizza chain Piola opened on 14th Street NW last night, and it's offering half off food all week. Among the extensive list of pies: the Rio de Janeiro with pulled chicken breast and Catupiry (a creamy cheese that is popular in Brazil), the Milano with gorgonzola and diced tomatoes, and the Istanbul with mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and arugula. Drinks are equally international with Negronis, Caipirinhas, sangria, and more. See the full menu here. Piola, 2208 14th St. NW. (202) 986-8729. piola.it. (Jessica Sidman)
