Fans of Alien know that in space, no one can hear you scream. But is the same true at a space-themed fetish party? DRINK THIS

D.C.'s top mixologists are toasting to pre-Prohibition black bartenders at a cocktail event at the Howard Theatre tonight. Among those slinging drinks: PX's Todd Thrasher, Hank's Oyster Bar's Gina Chersevani, Columbia Room's Derek Brown, The Gibson's Frankie Jones, Proof/Estadio's Adam Bernbach, and many others. The Chuck Brown Band will perform as well. The event goes from 9 p.m. to midnight. Regular tickets are $75, and VIP tickets, which get you in an hour early, are $100. Saturday: Hoarding is officially entertainment, thanks to reality television. But playwright and performer Hilary Kacser, a 2013 D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities grant recipient, has taken the idea of hoarding in another direction with her play, DISORDr, which focuses on a character trying to overcome her obsession with collecting. Saturday: The Talking Heads have a song for pretty much everybody. So take all of your pals to see The Name of This Band is Talking Heads, a new local Talking Heads cover band, at Petworth's Looking Glass Lounge Saturday night. Sunday: Forget flowers.
