The films show at 6:30 p.m. at the Goethe-Institut, 812 7th St. NW. $4–$7.goethe.de/washington. (202) 289-1200.
You know the cold weather is coming when restaurants start serving up hot chocolate. As of today, Pitango Gelato is bringing back something even better: sipping chocolate. The gelateria's $3.25 Italian specialty is thicker and richer than your typical hot chocolate and made with premium organic Costa Rican cocoa and milk from Spring Wood Organic Farm in Pennsylvania. Pitango is also serving a bunch of fall gelato flavors, including cinnamon, cardamom, quince, pomegranate, and pear. Pitango Gelato is located in Penn Quarter, Capitol Hill, Logan Circle, and Reston Town Center in Virginia. pitangogelato.com. (Jessica Sidman)
