While I don't agree with Williams' comments, I'm inclined to agree that they weren't anti-Muslim. I should have written, "what NPR considers to be anti-Muslim." Thanks for chiming in.

First off the remarks weren't anti-Muslim remarks. The remarks reflect the feelings of most people who are interested in self preservation. Who wouldn't notice and be at least a little concerned to board a plane with Muslim dressed in traditional attire? I just love diversity. Diversity = agree with pc agenda or else you're a bigot.

Is there a double standard?

Shirley Sherrod, Juan Williams, Van Jones, Rick Sanchez, and Helen Thomas get fired instantly.

Caucasian right wing male broadcasters like Beck, and O'reilly, have made far more hateful statements, to the point of inciting violence, and yet they get to stay on the job and make big bucks.

Is it politically incorrect to point this out?

Juan Williams has been making well-documented stupid comments and engaging in stupid behavior for years. NPR should have dumped him ages ago.
