In Theaters This Week
The Damned United: Michael Sheen stars as English soccer coach Brian Clough. Surprise, he's cocky and charming.
Antichrist: Lars von Trier, misogyny, sex, and torture for all involved, viewers included.
Astro Boy: An American adaptation of 1960s anime. Nicolas Cage supplies a voice — take that as you will.
Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant: A PG-13 adaptation of a teen book series that starts off as a fairly interesting story about freaks and ends up being a cheesy kid's flick about friendship. However: Points for bloodsuckers that don't glitter.
Amelia: Hilary Swank stars as famed pilot Amelia Earhart. Eighty-three percent of Rotten Tomatoes critics say it's bad.
Ong Bak 2: The Beginning: Just like 2005's Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior, only not as good.
Crude: A Joe Berlinger documentary about the "Amazon Chernobyl" case in South America.
Saw VI: You know what this is all about. But at least, unlike Antichrist, it doesn't try to pass as art.
