Best Sign of How Far the Redskins Have Fallen
The “R You In?” Marketing Campaign
Legend holds that Redskins tickets were once so difficult to obtain that probate courts routinely heard sibling v. sibling cases following the death of a season ticket-holding parent. Stories about Skins tickets and litigation still abound, only now they involve the team suing a grandmother into bankruptcy to force her to honor an agreement to pay out the wazoo for club seats. To cement the notion that the Skins are now anything but a tough ticket, we have the “R You In?” campaign, introduced last summer. Advertisements featuring Donovan McNabb and pleas to buy tickets showed up on billboards and the back of Metrobuses. The only waiting list in the Redskins ticket realm these days is made up of folks pining for the day when their club seat sales contract expires.
