Boeing-Boeing at No Rules Theatre Co. at Signature Theatre Wednesday, June 4

If the play your low-budget theater company is producing directly mentions a multinational corporation in its title, why not ask that corporation to underwrite your production? That’s what Arlington’s No Rules Theatre did to fund its current show, Boeing-Boeing, which is—you got it—presented by the Chicago-based aircraft manufacturer. The French farce follows the antics of Bernard, an architect living in Paris, and his relationships with three different stewardesses to whom he is engaged. None of the women has any idea about the others’ existence, but when a fast new plane alters Bernard’s perfectly timed arrangement, that’s bound to change. Throw in the arrival of Bernard’s timid friend Robert, who’s sleeping on the couch and confusing Gretchen, Gloria, and Gabriella with one another, and things become even messier. Fortunately for audiences, this farce doesn’t require a trans-Atlantic trip. Just wave to the planes at National Airport on your way out to Shirlington. The play runs June 4–June 29 at No Rules Theatre Co. at Signature Theatre, 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington. $15–$50. (571) 527-2159. norulestheatre.org.
