On its recent second full-length, Trouble, Brooklyn indie-rock band Hospitality channels less pop and more pathos. On tracks like “Inauguration,” palpitating bass ushers in heady-husky vocals and artfully disorienting riffs from vocalist and guitarist Amber Papini, and drummer Nathan Michel responds with percussive outbursts. The lyrics reflect a quieter longing: “Maybe after, when I return, I’ll get what I miss,” Parini sings on “I Miss Your Bones.” But missing her loved one can’t be a frequent problem for Parini—she and Michel are married. Local Dischord affiliates Soccer Team, now at work on a second full-length album, open the show. Hospitality performs with Soccer Team at 8 p.m. at Rock & Roll Hotel, 1353 H St. NE. $12.
