The Freer Gallery of Art transforms into a cultural hot spot for the final “Asia After Dark” after-hours event of this summer, with a night dedicated to Chinese martial arts. See the popular DJs Hop Fu live-score classic kung fu films, and watch a live kung fu performance by the Wong People Association. Then, create your own tea cup sleeve to take home. Watch a tai chi demonstration, and explore the galleries with Keith Wilson, Curator of Ancient Chinese Art. Learn about 3-D scanning and printing with Smithsonian experts, and participate in creating a 10-foot replica of the Freer’s “Cosmological Buddha.” Specialty cocktails and food will be available throughout the night, and tickets include one free drink! Must be 21 years old with valid photo ID to attend
