Hannibal Buress Feb. 22 at The Hamilton

At some point, most people have probably thought a lot of the things that Hannibal Buress talks about onstage. Nobody enjoys going through airport security, having their debit card stolen, or getting puked on by drunks. But even when he’s pointing out the obvious (“Yeah you got the deal but you camped out [for Black Friday]. That negates the deal”), Buress’ deceptively laid-back delivery might sneakily cast a new light on the mundane. The fact that he dedicates more than 30 seconds to debating the merits of keeping pickle juice in his fridge, or appears to be gratuitously irked by Brits’ use of “biscuit” over “cookie,” might give you a sense of the kind of material in which Buress trades—it’s not hard-hitting stuff. Yet, Paste named Buress’ Comedy Central special Animal Furnace its favorite comedic release of 2012, and it’s hard not to be swayed by its quirky charm. 8:30 p.m. $22.50.
