Museum Walk Weekend is held annually on the first full weekend in June. Celebrate the art, history and culture of one of Washington, DC's historic neighborhoods on Saturday and Sunday, June 2-3, by visiting the nine museums of the Dupont-Kalorama Museum Consortium, each featuring free admission and special activities for all ages and interests. Visit in any order you choose - green your route by hitting the pavement and taking a walking tour, or riding the free shuttle between sites!
Tell your Walk Weekend story through photographs! Bring your camera along the walk for a chance to win an amazing prize pack. Winners will also be featured on FotoDC's online gallery. Email you photo entries from the walk to email@example.com. Entries must be received by Friday, June 8 at 5pm.
Prize pack features:
- One night weekend stay at the Hotel Palomar
- 1-year Dual/Family level membership to The Phillips Collection
- $100 gift certificate to the Textile Museum shop
- Photo featured on Washington City Paper’s website and FotoDC’s online galleries
Since 1983 Walk Weekend, sponsored by the Dupont-Kalorama Museums Consortium (DKMC), has drawn thousands to “off the Mall” museums in Dupont Circle and Kalorama for a variety of free activities for all ages, including special museum exhibitions, live music, food, demonstrations such as quilt making and sheep shearing (weather permitting), and walking and biking tours. Please note that not all museums will be open both days. Event held rain or shine.
